Charlene Poindexter
Since our establishment in 2023, Jolley Tales has been committed to biblical excellence while providing trusted and wholesome children’s books and products for families, churches, and ministries.
Meet Charlene Poindexter, Managing Partner and Chief Administrator with Jolley Tales. She is a priceless asset and has been fully committed since the very beginning of our faith-based company.
Charlene helps with product design, final editing of each of our children’s books, inventory supply and demand, and is also one of the beloved creators of our Cherished Reflections Greeting Cards.
She is a constant travel companion for all of our events and is a close confidant and mentor to Lydia as well as a favored family friend.
Her smile lights up the room and her homemade banana bread is a favorite of the guests of our Jolley Tales coffee and tea times!
We are so grateful for the hours of labor and love as Charlene personally handles nearly every order along with Lydia. At 82 years, Charlene is vibrant and always ready for the next Jolley adventure!
Deborah South
Our mission statement with Jolley Tales is “Reaching Little Ones Around the World with the Truths of God’s Word.”
Meet Mrs. Deborah South, pastor’s wife, dear friend, and mentor. Her vision and encouragement have been a vital part of this entire journey. She is part of the biblical “three-fold cord” along with Lydia and Charlene.
Mrs. Deborah is a marketing genius and her wisdom and endless supply of incredible ideas have been invaluable!
She is a veteran homeschool mom with her degree in education and she has over 30 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about providing an excellent Christian education.
She also has been directly involved since the very first printing (when we started with a ministry story card format) and is the author of the “Dig Deeper” and Q&A section of our very first book Jolley’s Tail, A Lesson in Obedience.
Because of her involvement, our books were able to become a useful tool for family devotion time and an evangelistic tool for missionary outreach!
She often is involved with the hospitality side of Jolley Tales and was the mastermind behind the “Grand Opening” of our Bookstore and Gift Shoppe.
Her official title is “Business Development Director“ but Lydia calls her “My Pastor’s wife and dearest friend.”
Mrs. Deborah South is one of God’s choicest servants and is a blessing to all who are privileged to know her.
Tonia Peake
Our team at Jolley Tales is made up of sisters in Christ who are passionate about what we do. Together, we seek to honor the Lord in every task and strive each day to exceed expectations with excellence and care.
In 2025, the Lord graciously provided Tonia, a kind-hearted homeschooling mother, along with her two daughters, as a special blessing to the Jolley Tales family.
Tonia joins us twice each week and plays an important role in our workspace—assisting with lamination, operating our professional cutter, spiraling resources, and so much more. Her hands are always busy, and her work is done with great care and dedication.
She is truly a joy to work alongside, and we are deeply thankful for her time, her love for Jolley Tales, and her heart for sharing the Word of God with this generation.
